PA-based Suds N Sass is run by Elizabeth Aldinger, who took her shop from Etsy to the web. Her top reason for leaving Etsy was having to deal with repackagers. Elizabeth recently blogged about the reasons she left her Etsy store. “Re-sellers are those that purchase micas/oxides from (wholesalers) and just package them in jars and sell as handmade eye shadows! To top it off, they can sell them for much cheaper as they aren’t spending hours formulating eye shadow colors like the rest of us! So to answer those that want to know why my eye shadows are “so expensive”, it’s because I take the time to formulate my products & provide a high quality eye shadow. ”
